🚴 5 most interesting bike routes in Poland - perfect for bikepacking

Poland is a true paradise for cycling enthusiasts. The variety of landscapes, well-developing cycling infrastructure and wild, rarely used roads make our country an ideal place for bikepacking. We present 5 routes worth riding.


1. Green Velo – Eastern Cycling Trail

  • Length: over 2000 km

  • Travel time: 10–30 days

  • Surface: asphalt, local roads, gravel fragments

  • Route: Elblag – Suwałki – Białystok – Lublin – Rzeszów – Końskie

This is the longest cycling trail in Poland. It runs through 5 provinces and shows lesser-known but incredibly atmospheric regions: Suwałki Region, Podlasie, Roztocze. Well marked, with an extensive network of MORs. Ideal for those planning a multi-day trip.

2. Route R10 (Velo Baltica) – Along the Baltic Sea

  • Length: approx. 588 km

  • Travel time: 6–10 days

  • Surface: asphalt, bike paths, forest paths

  • Route: Świnoujście – Międzyzdroje – Kołobrzeg – Ustka – Łeba – Hel

The route leads through seaside resorts and forests. A leisurely pace of travel, many places to rest and spend the night. Ideal for a summer trip.

3. The Beskid Loop

  • Length: approx. 250 km

  • Travel time: 3–5 days

  • Surface: mountain asphalt, gravel, technical roads

  • Route: Żywiec – Ujsoły – Zawoja – Sucha Beskidzka – Żywiec

A demanding route through the Silesian and Żywiec Beskids. Considerable elevation gain, technical descents. For experienced cyclists in good condition.

4. Drawsko Lake District

  • Length: 100–130 km

  • Travel time: 2–3 days

  • Surface: gravel, forest roads, local asphalt

  • Route: Złocieniec – Czaplinek – Drawsko Pom. – Złocieniec (loop)

Silence, nature and wild lakes. Few tourists, many camping opportunities. The perfect place for a quiet weekend.

5. The Little Bieszczady Loop

  • Length: approx. 145 km

  • Travel time: 2–4 days

  • Surface: asphalt, serpentines, driveways

  • Route: Lesko – Cisna – Ustrzyki Górne – Wetlina – Lesko

Bieszczady is wilderness and space. The route is short, but technical and with demanding elevation gains. The views compensate for the effort.
